I was 50 pounds over weight with a terrible diet and smoking cigarettes. I was living my mid-life crisis. I knew there was no good ending to the story I was writing. I needed a low impact fitness solution. I had played organized sports from the time I was 8-23 and I just couldn’t lift another weight. My body and my joints couldn’t support traditional training modalities. I tried yoga and my body reacted well, but yoga was super hard and a giant time commitment. I found a studio that offered EMS (Electro Muscle Stimulation) training, and claimed a 20 minute workout was equivalent to 2+hours in the gym. That was exactly what I wanted to hear. I fell in love with “the suit”. I ended up sourcing and customizing our own suit and software. The Zeus Suit was born. I was using it aggressively, for much longer than 20 minutes at much higher settings. The pounds began to fall off me. I then began my “Contrast Quest” I was spending 45 minutes per day in the infra red sauna and 15-20 minutes per day in cold plunge tub of 38 degrees. My contrast training was 5-6 days per week. Add that to the 4-5 times per week in the Zues Suit and I was seeing life changes in the mirror. After a few red light therapy bed sessions, I knew my routine was set.
I had found my low to no impact regiment that was would keep me alive longer. No more going through the motions on the elliptical machine, no more crunches for hours, no more sore joints. Now technology and gravity work for me, not against me.

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING experience with Roni for the EMS session. I am somebody who loves working out at a gym for its own sake, and still can’t wait to come back. The pulses are already working your muscles and then it’s amped up with some light dumbbells (trust me … the combined effect is working your muscles so hard you shake). It’s a full body workout. You can have it adjusted up or down and even with different intensities for different body parts. I do all my gym and yoga sessions via class pass and I seldom leave a written review. Yep, this was that phenomenal. If you’re really into working out, you will f-ing love it, and if you are somebody who can’t get your motivation up sometimes, or really short on time, you will be jumping with joy to have found this!

EMS Training with instructor
Treat yourself to a self-paced, one-stop shop for all things relaxation and recovery for non-athletes and fitness junkies alike! FULL REVIEW: Valjalah is most certainly “where the gods hang out!” instructor is not only passionate and informed about wellness and the science behind it, but his humor, laid-back demeanor, and top-tier customer service made me feel like a VIP. The returning guests clearly love the place and also made me feel very welcome with stories of their impressive results and overall satisfaction with the amenities. I had an absolute ball: like a self-care playground! The 20-minute EMS session was an electric workout: simple moves for people from all fitness levels intensified by the tickling sensation of electricity. I was impressed by the variety of sizes for EMS suits, as I am not a small gyal by any stretch of the imagination. After instructor guided me through the EMS session, I had unlimited, self-guided access to everything else! There are QR codes at each station to inform you of specs, instructions, and benefits. The red light therapy bed, which I enjoyed for 20mins, also had green, blue, and yellow light therapy, which all have unique skin and body benefits. I was happy to learn something new! The zero-gravity chair with compression leg wraps was two great services in one! I was so relaxed in the zero gravity position with my legs being pampered, I fell right to sleep for my entire 30 minute session. Once I woke up to the early 2000’s playlist playing all my college party faves quietly overhead, my last stop was my beloved infrared sauna for about a half hour with several breaks. You can also use the OG regular sauna if you prefer. I chose to skip the cold plunge but there were two large ones available. Another amazing amenity was the alkaline water fountain that allows you to customize your pour. There are two large bathrooms- one more private than the other, but no shower so be prepared for that. You are supplied with towels. There’s a large dressing area with ample space to sit and chill and plenty of lockers (imagine the tall high school lockers, but cut in half). Prepare yourself by bringing your own lock. There is ample street parking, access to metro bus, and free wifi. I spent almost 3 hours there pampering myself and really didn’t ever want to leave! Thanks instructor for an incredible experience and congrats on this new adventure!.

Frequently Asked Questions
What do I wear?
Bathing suit attire is appropriate for all of our recovery modalities. For EMS we provide an “under skin” for under the EMS SUIT, this keeps your clothes dry.
Is parking available?
Street parking is available.
How long is my appointment?
The EMS Session is about 30 minutes including getting into and out of the suit. The red light bed appointments are 25 or 45 minutes, depending on your booking. Please show up at least 15 minutes prior to your appointment.
What if I can’t make my appointment?
There is a cancellation policy for each modality, some do include late fees, and cancellation penalties. Please double check the policy while booking.
Do you have lockers?
Yes we have lockers and locks are available .
Do you provide towels?
Yes we have towels to use during your visit.
How long can I stay?
